Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for June 6 – 12, 2011

Cartoon Network reigned Monday night (7-9 p.m.) as the #1 TV destination for kids 2-11 and all boys demos (2-11, 6-11 and 9-14).  Scoring double-digit gains across all demos vs. the prior year, kids 6-11 delivery (877,000) grew by 45%, kids 2-11 (1,301,000) by 53%, kids 9-14 (567,000) by 37%, boys 6-11 (668,000) by 56%, boys 2-11 (913,000) by 59% and boys 9-14 (433,000) by 39%.  Original animated comedy series punctuated the night—The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.), Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:15 p.m.), and MAD (8:30 p.m.)—ALL ranked #1 in their timeslots among kids 2-11 and boys 6-11.

On Tuesday night, Cartoon Network again ranked #1 on all television (7-9 p.m.) among boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, posting strong double-digit gains across all kids and boys demos.  The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) stood out as the #1 ranked show in its timeslot on all television among key boys demos ages 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.  Kids 6-11 delivery (920,000) grew by45%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,288,000) grew by 31%, and kids 9-14 delivery (725,000) grew by 128%.

Across the second week of June ‘11, Cartoon Network’s weekly early evening (7-9 p.m.) and total day delivery performances earned gains compared to the same time period last year across all kid demos.  In early evening, kids 6-11 delivery (547,000) increased by 7%, kids 2-11 delivery (789,000) increased by 9%, and kids 9-14 delivery (379,000) increased by 5%.  In Total Day, kids 6-11 average delivery (419,000) grew by 3%, kids 2-11 delivery (636,000) grew by 2% and kids 9-14 delivery (306,000) grew by 2%.

A brand new episode of Cartoon Network’s original live-action alternative series Dude, What Would Happen (Wednesday, 8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14.
