“NBA FIT,” A SPORTS-THEMED SERIES FEATURING NBA STARS,
PREMIERES FRIDAY, APRIL 29 ON DISNEY XD

“NBA Fit,” a series encouraging health and fitness for kids and families, and featuring a roster of NBA stars, shows what it takes for an NBA player to train for optimal performance on the court. Hosted by Daniel Curtis Lee (“Zeke and Luther”), the series includes Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, and Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, among others. Produced by NBA Entertainment, “NBA Fit” premieres FRIDAY, APRIL 29 (4:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD, followed by multiple presentations throughout the week.

Coinciding with the premiere of “NBA Fit,” Disney XD will present a day of sports-themed programming, including episodes of “Pair of Kings” (2:00-4:00 p.m., ET/PT) and “Phineas and Ferb” (4:15-5:00 p.m., ET/PT).

NBA Fit is part of the league’s ongoing initiative to introduce basketball to young people. Players highlighted on each episode are as follows (all at 4:00 p.m., ET/PT):

Fresh off a record-setting year in 2010, Disney XD delivered its largest quarterly audience ever in the first quarter of 2011, on a Total Day basis, across the board. It grew its audience year to year for the ninth consecutive quarter.
