“LEMONADE MOUTH,” A RESONANT, MUSIC-FILLED MOVIE ABOUT FIVE TEENS WHO BREAK THROUGH TO BECOME THE VOICE OF THEIR GENERATION
PREMIERES FRIDAY, APRIL 15 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

Encore Presentation Goes Behind the Scenes During the Moviemaking

“Lemonade Mouth” is a distinctive and dynamic movie for kids, tweens and families in which music intersects with themes of communication, personal development and empowerment. Central to the story are five teenagers who are profoundly changed when a music teacher motivates them to throw “what-ifs” out the window, pursue their true passion, form a band and ultimately, seize the opportunity to express their unique selves – despite lack of support from the school administration. The movie premieres FRIDAY, APRIL 15 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel as part of the popular Disney Channel Original Movie franchise.

The premiere weekend telecasts (Friday, April 15 and Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) are sponsored by the Chrysler Brand’s Chrysler Town & Country minivan. As part of the sponsorship, the Chrysler Town & Country and the Rock the Road with Lemonade Mouth Sweepstakes offer the chance for one lucky entrant to win keys to a Chrysler Town & Country minivan and a trip for four (4) to Los Angeles to meet Bridgit Mendler and receive an electric guitar autographed by the cast of the movie. The sweepstakes entry page is available at www.Disney.com/rocktheroad.

The outstanding ensemble cast of young actors and singers is led by Bridgit Mendler (of Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie”), Adam Hicks (Disney XD’s “Zeke and Luther”), Hayley Kiyoko (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), Naomi Scott (Disney Channel UK’s “Life Bites” and “Terra Nova”) and newcomer Blake Michael (who landed the role via an open casting call). Also starring are Nick Roux (“The Suite Life on Deck”), Chris Brochu (“Soul Surfer”), Tisha Campbell-Martin (“My Wife and Kids”) and Christopher McDonald (“Boardwalk Empire”).

Based on the book Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes, the script was written by April Blair, directed by award-winning Patricia Riggen (“La Misma Luna” aka “Under the Same Moon”), executive-produced by Debra Martin Chase (“The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” Disney Channel’s “The Cheetah Girls” movies), co-produced by Gaylyn Fraiche (“Just Wright,” “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2”) and choreographed by Chris Scott (“So You Think You Can Dance”). “Lemonade Mouth” was filmed on location in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a production of GWAVE Productions, LLC.

The “Lemonade Mouth” soundtrack, from Walt Disney Records, will be available TUESDAY, APRIL 12 on iTunes and in stores nationwide. It features nine original songs spanning hip-hop, rock and pop/rock, including three raps written by 18-year-old Adam Hicks, the first cast member to write a song performed in a Disney Channel Original Movie.

The television premiere schedule is:
