Home to TV’s Top 5 scripted series, including “Shake It Up,” “Good Luck Charlie” and “Phineas and Ferb,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 11th consecutive month among Tweens 9-14 (467,000/1.9 rating), delivering its largest March audience ever in the demo, as well as among Total Viewers (1.65 million) and Kids 6-11 (581,000/2.3 rating).
In Prime, Disney Channel also delivered its biggest March ever in Total Viewers (2.54 million) and Kids 6-11 (1.08 million/4.4 rating). In addition, the channel extended its streak as TV’s No. 1 network to 73 consecutive months among Kids 6-11 and to 71 straight months among Tweens 9-14 (862,000/3.5 rating), and ranked as cable’s No. 2 network in Prime in Total Viewers.
- Year to year, Disney Channel delivered its 5th consecutive month of year-to-year increases in Total Viewers (+5% — 2.54 million vs. 2.43 million), Kids 6-11 (+10% — 1.08 million vs. 985,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+7% — 862,000 vs. 805,000).
The premiere of “The Suite Life Movie” (3/25/11) ranked as cable’s No. 1 telecast of March 11 among Kids 6-11 (2.43 million/9.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.16 million/8.9 rating), based on Live + Same Day.
Easily the month’s No. 1 TV series among both Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, through its first 14 original telecasts, “Shake It Up” is pacing as the No. 1 cable series of all time in Tweens 9-14 (1.86 million/7.6 rating), out-performing the first 14 episodes of Nickelodeon’s key series by double-digit percentages:
