“Adventure Time” Premieres in Canada on TELETOON on March 20

Teletoon’s 3 hours of “awesome” programming block moves to Sunday nights with adventure time

(Toronto, ON, March 9, 2011) – TELETOON’s “3 Hours of Awesome” programming block is moving exclusively to Sundays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Sunday, March 20. This block will kick off with the premiere of Adventure Time at 6 p.m. ET/PT and will showcase other popular TELETOON series Jimmy Two-Shoes, Johnny Test and Chowder and also becomes the exclusive place to find other TELETOON favourites Total Drama World Tour, Stoked, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Camp Lazlo.

Following the premiere on March 20, Adventure Time will assume regular time slot of Sundays at 6:15 p.m. ET/PT. The series follows Finn, the human boy with the awesome hat and his friend Jake, the wise dog, as they embark on a series of strange and unique adventures in the land of Ooo. Whether it’s an Ice King kidnapping a princess or ninjas stealing diamonds from an old man, one thing is always certain – it’s Adventure Time!

The “3 Hours of Awesome” block features a new 15-minute episode format for most of the shows in the lineup, giving viewers more of the shows they love in an unreal three-hour span. See below for a detailed look at the new TELETOON Sunday schedule:

  • 6-6:15 p.m. ET/PT – Johnny Test
  • 6:15-6:30 p.m. ET/PT – Adventure Time
  • 6:30-6:45 p.m. ET/PT – Jimmy Two-Shoes
  • 6:45-7 p.m. ET/PT – The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
  • 7-7:15 p.m. ET/PT – Johnny Test
  • 7:15-7:30 p.m. ET/PT – Chowder
  • 7:30-7:45 p.m. ET/PT – Jimmy Two-Shoes
  • 7:45-8 p.m. ET/PT – Camp Lazlo
  • 8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT – Total Drama World Tour (Adventure Time at 8 p.m. and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack at 8:15 p.m. ET/PT as of May 1)
  • 8:30 p.m. ET/PT – Stoked (Total Drama World Tour as of May 1)
