Disney Channel: Weekly Highlights

Home to the week’s Top 3 scripted TV telecasts with original episodes of “Shake It Up,” “The Suite Life on Deck” and “Good Luck Charlie,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 14th consecutive week among Tweens 9-14 (449,000/1.8 rating).  In Kids 6-11 (598,000/2.4 rating), Disney Channel stood as TV’s No. 1network for the 2nd time in the previous 3 weeks, boasting TV’s Top 3 telecasts with “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up” and “The Suite Life on Deck.”

In Prime, Disney Channel’s streak at No. 1 is nearing 6 years on a weekly basis among Kids 6-11 (1.09 million/4.4 rating – 305 weeks) and was No. 1 for the 302nd time in the previous 305 weeks among Tweens 9-14 (834,000/3.4 rating). In Total Viewers, Disney Channel placed a solid No. 2, surpassing No. 3 Fox News by a solid 24% (2.44 million vs. 1.96 million), and the next entertainment cable network, TNT, by an impressive 36% (vs. 1.80 million)

Sunday’s all new “Shake It Up” was the week’s No. 1 TV telecast among Tweens 9-14 (1.56 million/6.4 rating), surpassing a special “American Idol” on FOX by 6%. In fact, launch to date, “Shake It Up” is TV’s No. 1 series among Kids 6-11 (1.97 million/8.0 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.83 million/7.5 rating), and stands as the No. 1 cable series of all time through its first 13 episodes.
