Disney Junior Delivers Best Preschooler Ratings Ever for Disney Channel;
Posts Double-Digit Percent Increases Year to Year

Disney Channel’s No. 1 Preschooler Series of All Time, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” is the Week’s No. 1 Series in Boys 2-5 and Ranks a Solid No. 3 in Kids 2-5; Bests Time Period Competition by Double-to-Triple Digit Percentages

“Handy Manny” Hits a 1-Year High in Kids 2-5 and 3-Year High in Boys 2-5

Disney Junior: Weekly Highlights:
In its premiere week, Disney Junior delivered Disney Channel’s best ratings ever in the daypart among Kids 2-5 (474,000/2.8 rating) and Boys 2-5 (262,000/3.0 rating), and posted the second-best weekly ratings ever among Girls 2-5 (212,000/2.6 rating).

Powered by the record-setting premiere of “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” which became the channel’s No. 1 weekday preschool series launch of all time in Total Viewers and Kids 2-5 and the No. 1 series debut ever in Boys 2-5 and Women 18-49, Disney Junior outperformed year-ago averages across all demos, including by 34% in Kids 2-5 (474,000 vs. 354,000), by 48% in Boys 2-5 (262,000 vs. 177,000), by 20% in Girls 2-5 (212,000 vs. 177,000) and by 16% in Women 18-49 (252,000 vs, 217,000).

Jake and the Never Land Piratesis Disney Channel’s No. 1 preschool series of all time in Total Viewers (2.22 million) and Kids 2-5 (966,000/5.7 rating) through its first 6 episodes (M-Sat). Also impressive, “Handy Manny” hit a 1-year high in Kids 2-5 (616,000/3.7 rating) and a 3-year high in Boys 2-5 (357,000/4.1 rating) – since weeks of 2/15/10 and 2/18/08, respectively.

Disney Channel’s No. 1 preschool series of all time, “Jake and the Never Land Piratesranked as TV’s No. 1 series for the week among Boys 2-5 (567,000/6.6 rating) and placed a solid No. 3 among Kids 2-5 (948,000/5.6 rating).

  • Fronted by Saturday’s series-high telecast, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” accounted for the week’s Top 6 series telecasts across all TV among Boys 2-5.
  • For the week, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” surpassed programming on Nickelodeon by impressive margins, including by 60% in Kids 2-5 (948,000 vs. 592,000) and by 121% among Boys 2-5 (567,000 vs. 256,000).
  • “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” exceeded year-ago time period averages across the board, including by 27% in Total Viewers (2.28 million vs. 1.79 million), by 32% in Kids 2-5 (948,000 vs. 720,000) and by 41% in Women 18-49 (459,000 vs. 325,000).
