Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for January 31 – February 6, 2011

For the first week of February 2011, Cartoon Network earned solid delivery gains vs. the same week last year and the previous four weeks, particularly among older kids 6-11 and 9-14.  Compared to the 2010 time period, average early evening prime time kids 6-11 delivery (603,000) grew by 3% and kids 9-14 delivery (446,000) by 18%; vs. the prior four weeks, kids 6-11 delivery increased by 12%, kids 2-11 delivery (883,000) by 8% and kids 9-14 delivery by 15%.  In Total Day, average kids 6-11 delivery (359,000) grew by 5% and kids 9-14 delivery (252,000) by 8%; vs. the prior four weeks, kids 6-11 delivery increased by 11%, kids 2-11 delivery (559,000) by 9% and kids 9-14 delivery by 7%.

Cartoon Network achieved the #1 destination on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14 on Monday night (7-9 p.m.), posting double-digit growth among all kids and boys demos vs. the same time period last year.  The animated comedy block earned 46% delivery gains among kids 6-11 (697,000), 24% gains among kids 2-11 (988,000), 39% gains among kids 9-14 (473,000), 54% gains among boys 6-11 (504,000), 29% gains among boys 2-11 (699,000) and 38% gains among boys 9-14 (352,000).

Every Cartoon Network program on Monday earned significant double and triple-digit delivery gains across all kids and boys demos, including:

  • ADVENTURE TIME (8 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (992,000) grew by 96%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,337,000) grew by 62%, kids 9-14 delivery (671,000) grew by 126%.
  • REGULAR SHOW (8:15 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (897,000) grew by 113%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,211,000) grew by 70%, kids 9-14 delivery (644,000) grew by 121%.
  • MAD (8:30 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (696,000) grew by 78%, 2-11 delivery (937,000) grew by 42%, kids 9-14 delivery (540,000) grew by 45%.
  • JOHNNY TEST (7:30 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (758,000) grew by 43%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,059,000) grew by 11%, kids 9-14 delivery (452,000) grew by 40%.

Friday night’s animated action-adventure programming (7-9 p.m.) also propelled Cartoon Network to the #1 destination on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14: overall kids 6-11 delivery (730,000) grew by 12%, kids 9-14 delivery (608,000) grew by 48%, boys 6-11 delivery (608,000) grew by 16%, boys 2-11 delivery (851,000) grew by 1% and boys 9-14 delivery (497,000) grew by 49%.

  • YOUNG JUSTICE (7 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (746,000) grew by 15%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,136,000) grew by 7%, kids 9-14 delivery (570,000) grew by 33%.
  • BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN (7:30 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (825,000) grew by 23%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,263,000) grew by 5%, kids 9-14 delivery (640,000) grew by 45%.
  • GENERATOR REX (8 p.m.)—kids 9-14 delivery (541,000) grew by 41%, boys 9-14 delivery (445,000) grew by 45%.
  • STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS (8:30 p.m.)—kids 6-11 delivery (750,000) grew by 13%, kids 9-14 delivery (680,000) grew by 73%, boys 6-11 delivery (594,000) grew by 9%, boys 9-14 delivery (548,000) grew by 75%.
