Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Marathons and Premieres

It’s tradition that every time a national holiday allows for kids nationwide to be out of school, television networks schedule special marathons and premieres for the day.  Today is no different.  Here’s a rundown of the specials, marathons and premieres happening today:

Nickelodeon starts the day with three hours of preschool programming from 7-10am, with one-hour each of Team Umizoomi, Max & Ruby and Dora the Explorer.  Following at 10am is two hours of SpongeBob SquarePants.  Up at noon are hour blocks of iCarly, VICTORiOUS and Big Time Rush.  From 3-6pm is another marathon of SpongeBob, followed by two hours of iCarly from 6-8pm.  The premieres start at 8pm with two back-to-back new episodes of VICTORiOUS, followed by a special preview episode of Nickelodeon’s new series Supah Ninjas at 9pm.

Nicktoons spends the day with marathons of Planet Sheen from 8-11:30am, T.U.F.F. Puppy from 11:30am-3pm and Zevo-3 from 3-6pm.  A week of new Zevo-3 episodes starts tonight at 6pm followed by five episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai.

TeenNick started a 24-hour marathon of That ‘70s Show on Sunday night at 10pm that continues through today.

Cartoon Network starts the day with encores of the two Lego NinjaGo specials at 9am (which premiered last Friday).  Following at 10am is an encore of Tom & Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes followed by three-hours of Johnny TestMAD and Regular Show then marathon from 2-8pm.  New episodes of Adventure Time, Regular Show and Robotomy end the night from 8-9pm.

Boomerang has back-to-back episodes of The New Scooby-Doo Movies from 12-7pm.

Disney Channel starts the day with two-hours of Handy Manny from 7-9am with a new episode at 8:30.  Marathons of Phineas and Ferb, Fish Hooks, Shake It Up, Hannah Montana, and Wizards of Waverly Place fill the schedule from 9am-7pm.  The Hannah Montana series finale encores at 7pm, followed by all three parts of The Suite Life on Deck’s Twister special at 8pm.

Disney XD starts the morning with two-hours of Kick Buttowski from 6-8am.  From 9am-6pm is alternating episodes of Pair of Kings, I’m in the Band and Zeke and Luther.  At 6pm is the Disney XD premiere of The Suite Life on Deck episode “The Play’s the Thing” followed by a new episode of Pair of Kings at 6:30pm.  At 7pm is the one-hour second season premiere of I’m in the Band.

The Hub will not have any special programming today.  Instead, the regular schedule will air as normal.
