- Peter Pan Returns in “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” Primetime Special; Season 2 Premieres February 20
December 28, 2011 | The classic character Peter Pan makes his first-ever appearance in the hit series for kids age 2-7, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," in a primetime special presentation, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns," premiering MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Featuring six original songs, the special finds Peter Pan returning to Pirate Island to enlist Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully in finding his lost shadow. Adam Wylie ("Picket Fences") voices the role of Peter Pan.

December 24, 2011 | After a series of tweets from Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) on Twitter earlier today, Disney Channel has now pulled two episodes off their schedule. One is the Shake It Up episode “Party It Up” and the other is supposedly an episode of So Random!. Both episodes are being pulled due to claims they contain jokes about eating disorders.

December 20, 2011 | During the week of December 12, Disney Channel swept Total Day for the 5th consecutive week across target demos, ranking as TV’s #1 network in Kids 6-11 (557,000/2.3 rating), Boys 6-11 (234,000/1.9 rating), Girls 6-11 (324,000/2.7 rating), Tweens 9-14 (458,000/1.9 rating) and Girls 9-14 (290,000/2.5 rating). Impressively, in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel has been TV’s# 1 network on a total day basis for a record-setting 27 straight weeks.

December 20, 2011 | Cartoon Network's evening prime time (M-Su, 7-9 p.m.) posted significant double-digit gains across all key kids demos vs. the same time period last year - average kids 6-11 delivery (612,000) increased by 22%, kids 2-11 (887,000) by 14% and kids 9-14 (513,000) by 39%. Total Day delivery also grew across all kids demos - average kids 6-11 (327,000) by 3%, kids 2-11 (517,000) by 1% and kids 9-14 (270,000) by 23%.
- “House of Anubis” Season 2 Premieres January 9 on Nickelodeon
December 20, 2011 | Nickelodeon's live-action telenovela-style series, House of Anubis, returns for season two (45 new half-hours) beginning Monday, Jan. 9, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT). House of Anubis follows a group of students who uncover and solve hidden mysteries at an English boarding school while dealing with the highs and lows of their teenage years. In season two, a new mystery unfolds as Nina (played by Nathalia Ramos) and her friends return for their second year at Anubis House. The season will also introduce several new characters including series regular Eddie (played by Burkely Duffield), a self-styled punk bad boy from America. Duffield will also star as the dim-witted stepbrother in Nickelodeon's brand new Cinderella-inspired original TV movie, Rags, set to premiere in 2012. New episodes of House of Anubis will roll out in a daily format Monday-Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

December 16, 2011 | Cartoon Network today announced the voting categories and nominees for the second annual sports awards show, Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards, which returns in early 2012. Hosted by basketball legend and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards show willfeature icons from television, film, music and sports, as kids experience an evening of humor and fun at the most raucous and biggest sports awards show ever. "Pair of Kings" will continue without the character Brady played by Mitchel Musso. The actor, singer/songwriter will continue his role as the voice of Jeremy Johnson in Disney's Emmy Award-winning series "Phineas and Ferb."
