May 25, 2010 | Boasting the week’s Top 2 telecasts in Tweens 9-14 with “Good Luck Charlie” and “Sonny With a Chance,” Disney Channel was TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 4th consecutive week in the key demo (472,000/1.9 rating – tie).

May 25, 2010 | Nickelodeon notched another weekly ratings win as basic cable’s top total day network, driven by the True Jackson, VP TV movie, “Trapped in Paris” (Saturday, 8 -9 p.m.), which secured basic cable’s top spot in its time period, averaging 3.4 million total viewers. The hour-long movie also was the number-one telecast on all TV in its time period with kids 2-11(5.2/1.9 million, +41%), kids 6-11 (6.8/1.5 million, +62%) and tweens 9-14 (6.1/1.3 million, +85%).
- Disney XD Begins Production on New Season of “Next X” That Premieres Monday, June 21
May 25, 2010 | Production has begun on a new season of "Next X," an action-packed reality sports series featuring star athletes Bucky Lasek, Daniel Dhers, Rune Glifberg and Gary Young mentoring young amateur competitors in their chosen sport. Sponsored by Hasbro, the six-episode short-form series will premiere MONDAY, JUNE 21 (7:15 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD and Disney XD.com with new episodes airing every Monday night until Monday, July 26. "Next X," developed by Disney XD in association with ESPN, reached 24.7 million viewers, including 4.3 million boys 6-11 last summer on Disney XD.
- Friday 5/21 Cable Ratings: Repeat of “Big Time Rush” Dominates New “Ben 10″ and “Generator Rex”
May 24, 2010 | Friday night’s repeat of Big Time Rush on Nickelodeon (8pm) out delivered new episodes of Ben 10 and Generator Rex on Cartoon Network (8-9pm) in households, total viewers, kids 2-11 and teens 12-17. All three did tie in adults 18-49, but that’s not the demo of these shows.
- Cartoon Network Premieres “Total Drama World Tour” on Monday, June 21
May 24, 2010 | The drama started at Camp Wawanakwa with Total Drama Island, went Hollywood for Total Drama Action, and now travels the globe with the all-new Total Drama World Tour, premiering Monday, June 21 at 9 p.m. (ET, PT) on Cartoon Network. Seventeen contestants—including some favorites from the past and some new faces—will duke it out on an international playing field for a grand prize of $1 million dollars. Host Chris McLean and his cohort Chef are back with Total Drama’s signature painful and embarrassing challenges, this time taking advantage of the world’s most famous landmarks and natural wonders.
- “Iron Man: Armored Adventures” Season 2 Premieres in 2011 on Nicktoons
May 21, 2010 | Striking while the iron's hot, Nicktoons announces a second season of the network's hit series Iron Man: Armored Adventures to bow in 2011. The new season of 26 episodes will continue to weave in iconic Marvel characters, such as Nick Fury, Whiplash, Dr. Doom and Magneto, and will feature the epic resolution of the Makluan Ring saga. Season two will have even more of the fast-paced and action-packed episodes that helped Nicktoons reach its highest-rated and most-watched year in history with boys 6-11, kids 6-11 and total viewers in 2009.
- Disney Channel Orders New Dance-Filled Buddy Comedy Series, “Shake It Up!”
May 21, 2010 | Disney Channel has ordered “Shake It Up!,” a buddy comedy centered around a teen dance show, created by Chris Thompson (“Laverne and Shirley,” “Bosom Buddies,” “The Naked Truth,” “Action”) and executive-produced by Thompson and Rob Lotterstein (“The War at Home,” “Ellen”). It stars 12-year-old Bella Thorne (“Big Love”) and 13-year-old Zendaya. The multi-camera series will begin production in Hollywood, California, in July for a scheduled Fall 2010 premiere on Disney Channel. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide.
- Nickelodeon Premieres “True Jackson: Trapped in Paris” This Saturday, May 22
May 19, 2010 | It’s a bon voyage for the cast of True Jackson, VP as Nickelodeon debuts an all-new one-hour True Jackson, VP TV movie, “Trapped in Paris,” Saturday, May 22, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The brand-new special bids adieu to the Mad Style offices as True and her friends embark on an adventure half-way around the world, with special guest stars DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson) and the cast of Nickelodeon’s phenom preschool music series, Yo Gabba Gabba!, as well as Gage Golightly of Nickelodeon’s The Troop. Following True Jackson, VP “Trapped in Paris,” viewers can catch a never-before-seen, inside look into the life of True Jackson, VP star Keke Palmer as she reveals her biggest secrets, on and off the set, in the half-hour special, 7 Secrets: Keke Palmer, at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
