August 24, 2010 | Nickelodeon closed the week (8/16/10-8/22/10) as basic cable’s number-one network in total day with kids 2-11(3.6/1.3 million) and total viewers (2.4 million). The net was also up double-digits for the week with kids 6-11 (+13%) and tweens 9-14 (+17%). Nick’s weekly win was driven by a solid performance by Big Time Rush’s (Friday, August 20, 8 p.m. ET/PT) hour-long TV movie “Big Time Concert,” which drew 3.3 million total viewers and averaged a 5.4/1.9 million K2-11, 7.0/1.5 million K6-11, and 6.0/1.3 million T9-14.
- Friday 8/20 Cable Ratings: “Big Time Rush” Season Finale Falls Behind New “Suite Life” and “Wizards”
August 23, 2010 | The premiere of Big Time Rush’s one-hour finale, “Big Time Concert,” scored 3.342 million viewers, coming in behind new episodes of The Suite Life on Deck (4.026 million) and Wizards of Waverly Place (3.746 million) in total viewers. With kids 2-11, Big Time Rush was first with a 4.7/19, followed by Suite Life with a 4.6/20 and Wizards with 4.3/17. The teens 12-17 demo had Suite Life first (3.4/18), Wizards second (3.3/16) and Big Time Rush third (2.6/12).
- “My Wife and Kids” Comes to Nick at Nite on August 30
August 23, 2010 | Nickelodeon welcomes My Wife and Kids to Nick at Nite, TV's home for the modern-day family sitcom, every weeknight from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) beginning Monday, Aug. 30. The half-hour series stars Damon Wayans (In Living Color, Major Payne) as a modern-day patriarch who rules his household with a unique brand of wisdom, discipline and humor. Wayans executive produced and created the series with Don Reo (Blossom, Everybody Hates Chris), and also served as a writer on the show. The complete 123-episode library of My Wife and Kids will join Nick at Nite's slate of stellar family comedies, which includes George Lopez, its original time-slot neighbor during the series' initial broadcast run.

August 19, 2010 | Tori’s plan for a simple in-flight video chat to complete a school project results in all-out havoc for the Hollywood Arts gang in Nickelodeon’s brand-new episode of Victorious premiering Friday, August 27, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). “Wi-Fi in the Sky” also features a cameo by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who has a first-class fight with Trina on board the plane.
- New “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Season 3 Trailer
August 19, 2010 | Lucasfilm has provided Nick and More! with a new three-minute preview clip for the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The new season premieres Friday, September 17 at 9PM ET/PT on Cartoon Network.
- Cartoon Network Launches Apparel Line for “Generator Rex” in Spring 2011
August 18, 2010 | Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the global licensing and merchandising arm of the television network, announced today a partnership with Hybrid Apparel, a premiere apparel company, to create a line of youth apparel based on the popular action-adventure series, Generator Rex. With product launching in the U.S. in spring 2011 across all tiers of retailers, the apparel line will feature a range of tops for boys ages 4-20 including long and short-sleeved t-shirts, 2-fers, fleece, and sweatshirts. The announcement was made today as part of the MAGIC Marketplace convention in Las Vegas.
- Cartoon Network’s Monday 8/16 Ratings: “Adventure Time” Repeat Tops New “Flapjack” and “Total Drama World Tour”

- Disney Channel Ratings Highlights for August 9 – 15, 2010
August 17, 2010 | In Total Day*, Disney Channel ranked as the week’s No. 1 TV network among Kids 6-11 (881,000/3.6 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (712,000/2.9 rating), topping runner-up Nickelodeon by a solid 14% in the Tweens demo (712,000 vs. 623,000). This marked the 2nd consecutive week Disney Channel outranked Nickelodeon among Kids 6-11 (881,000 vs. 835,000) and the 9th straight week with Tweens 9-14.
- “Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure” Scores 3.3 Million Viewers
August 17, 2010 | Dora the Explorer marked her first decade on-air by drawing 3.3 million total viewers (+88%) to her Big Birthday Adventure (Sunday, Aug. 15, 8-9 p.m. ET/PT) special. Big Birthday Adventure also averaged an 8.1/1.1 million kids 2-5 (+305%), scoring the high-rated Dora primetime special in almost two years and the top spot in its time period with kids 2-5 and kids 2-11 on both broadcast and basic cable television. Dora the Explorer currently ranks as the number-one preschool program on all television.
- Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for August 9 – 15, 2010
August 17, 2010 | Across the 3rd week of August 2010, Cartoon Network attracted double-digit gains among kids 2-11 in Total Day, and significant single-digit gains in Prime Time. Compared to the same week in 2009, Total Day delivery among kids 2-11 (667,000) grew by 24% and ratings (1.6) by 23%. In Prime Time, weekly average kids 2-11 delivery (703,000) increased by 7% and ratings (1.7) by 6%.

August 11, 2010 | Nickelodeon has extended multi-talented, actor/comedian/artist/producer Nick Cannon's deal as Chairman of TeenNick through Jan. 2012, it was announced today by Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. At the helm since March 2009, Cannon will continue his role in front of the camera and behind the desk of TeenNick, Nickelodeon's 24-hour network exclusively for and about teens and tweens, to help develop, produce and create original programming across the channel's multiple platforms.
- Cartoon Network Names Multi-Platform Bullying Prevention Campaign STOP BULLYING: SPEAK UP

(TBS, Inc.), announced today further details of its multi-platform Bullying Prevention Campaign at the National Bullying Prevention Summit in Washington, DC. Speaking to an audience comprised of government officials, business leaders and leading educators of bullying prevention, Cartoon Network’s President and Chief Operations Officer Stuart Snyder unveiled the official title of the CAMPAIGN—STOP BULLYING: SPEAK UP—which will serve to educate and empower young bystanders to take action to reduce/prevent bullying. Bystanders represent the 75-85% of students in schools that witness incidents of bullying every year, whether on the playground, in the classroom, on the bus, on social media websites, or cell phones. - “Back to the Future” and “Turtles Forever” Movies Coming to Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite Later This Month
August 10, 2010 | Nick at Nite will air the Back to the Future film trilogy three nights in a row starting Monday, August 23 at 8PM ET/PT. Nickelodeon will also premiere the movie Turtles Forever on Sunday, August 29 at 1PM ET/PT, marking the first airing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the network. As you may know, Nickelodeon bought the franchise rights last October (including the 2003 4Kids series).
