- Boomerang Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of “The Flintstones”
September 8, 2010 | Boomerang, Cartoon Network's 24-hour commercial-free classic animation network, will suspend its normal programming schedule later this month to mark the 50th Anniversary of prime time television's first-ever animated series: THE FLINTSTONES.

September 8, 2010 | Cartoon Network began September ’10 by scoring double-digit ratings and delivery gains among kids 2-11 in both Prime Time and Total Day. Compared to the same time period last year, prime time delivery among kids 2-11 (795,000) increased by 13% and ratings (1.9) by 12%. In total day, weekly average kids 2-11 delivery (584,000) increased by 19% and ratings (1.4) by 17%. Total day delivery among kids 6-11 (358,000) also grew by 4% vs. the 2009 time period.

September 8, 2010 | Saban Brands LLC has officially re-launched PowerRangers.com. The new site will stream all 145 episodes of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (pre-Alien Rangers) for the next 145 days. One new episode will launch each day, starting today (September 8).
- “Atomic Betty” Coming to The Hub
September 7, 2010 | Animation Magazine reports that The Hub has acquired all three seasons (78 episodes) of the Canadian animated series, Atomic Betty. The series will launch on October 10, the same day the network launches.

- Nickelodeon Acquires “Winx Club”; Will Co-Produce Seasons 5 and 6
September 2, 2010 | Nickelodeon has acquired the Winx Club TV rights for the U.S. and the pay-TV rights for Latin America, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Benelux. Winx Club features the adventures of six magical fairies who are hugely popular with young girls around the world. The new partnership gives Nickelodeon, the number-one global brand for kids, access to the existing Winx Club TV series and two theatrical films. The agreement also includes the co-development and co-production of seasons five and six of the series.

When tempers boil over during an argument between Sam and Pam, Sam unexpectedly moves in with Carly and Spencer. September 1, 2010 | A new Unnatural History on Cartoon Network last night scored 1.4 million viewers and a 1.9/7 kids 2-11 demo rating. That was up from the last report we got for the August 17 episode (1.2 million viewers and a 1.5/5 kids 2-11 demo). However, the unadvertised series finale of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack scored under 1 million viewers and a 1.3/6 kids 2-11 demo rating.

August 31, 2010 | Firing on all cylinders during Summer 2010, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 5th consecutive summer in Tweens 9-14 (674,000/2.8 rating) and for the 2nd straight summer in Kids 6-11 (777,000/3.2 rating – tie). Impressively, Disney Channel closed out the summer netting the channel’s 11th consecutive weekly win in Tweens 9-14 and 4th straight weekly victory in Kids 6-11. In addition, this summer stood as the channel’s most-watched summer of all time in Total Day among Total Viewers (2.02 million) and top-rated in Kids 6-11 (3.2 rating – tied 2007 and 2009).

August 31, 2010 | Cartoon Network scored solid double-digit prime time delivery and ratings growth among kids 2-11 across the month of August, according to initial data from Nielsen Media Research. Versus the same 2009 time period, the monthly average kids 2-11 delivery (762,000) grew by 22% and ratings (1.9) by 27%. Also in prime time, kids 6-11 delivery (484,000) grew by 6% while ratings (2.0) increased by 5%. In Total Day, average monthly kids 2-11 delivery (640,000) improved by 9% and ratings (1.6) grew by 14%.

August 31, 2010 | Fueled by Friday and Sunday’s “Night of Premieres,” Disney Channel was the week’s No. 1 TV network in Total Day among Kids 6-11 (700,000/2.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (599,000/2.5 rating), towering over Nickelodeon by a considerable 22% in the Tween demo (599,000 vs. 490,000). This marked the third consecutive week that Disney Channel outdelivered Nickelodeon among Kids 6-11 (700,000 vs. 647,000), and the 11th week in a row among Tweens 9-14.
