Week of 11/22-28
Total Day |
Disney XD | Nicktoons |
Kids 2-11 | 194,000 | 115,000 |
Kids 6-11 | 140,000 | 84,000 |
Tweens 9-14 | 105,000 | 64,000 |
Week of 11/22-28
Primetime |
Disney XD | Nicktoons |
Kids 2-11 | 215,000 | 157,000 |
Kids 6-11 | 161,000 | 114,000 |
Tweens 9-14 | 110,000 | 89,000 |
In summary: Disney XD is in more households than Nicktoons (78 million vs. 58 million) and therefore is expected to regularly do better in ratings. However, it’s obvious that Nicktoons can beat Disney XD at times – especially with Dragon Ball Z Kai marathons. Zevo-3, being a new show, doesn’t have the power to produce good ratings yet (and may never) so it was a big mistake for Nicktoons to air a full day’s marathon of it (especially since many episodes repeated several times over the course of the day).
These ratings for Nicktoons also show why they made so many schedule changes this week (which started on Tuesday). More Avatar and Dragon Ball Z Kai, which are currently Nicktoons biggest ratings winners. Plus, more of The Fairly OddParents, which did pretty good up against Phineas and Ferb last Wednesday.
