Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for November 1 – 7, 2010

Cartoon Network’s overall weekly prime time performance saw a rise among kids 9-14 delivery and ratings—compared to the 2009 time period, average kids 9-14 delivery (381,000) grew by 2% and ratings (1.6) grew by 7%.
Cartoon Network’s Monday night block of comedy animation continued to rank #1 in prime time (8-10 p.m.) among boys 6-11, boys 2-11 and boys 9-14 demos compared to its competition, and scored double-digit gains vs. the same 2009 time period. Overall, kids 6-11 average delivery (702,000) and ratings (2.8) both grew by 65%; kids 2-11 delivery (938,000) grew by 40% and ratings (2.3) by 44%; and kids 9-14 delivery (535,000) grew by 66% and ratings (2.2) by 69%. Similarly, boys 6-11 delivery (535,000) grew by 69% and ratings (4.2) by68%, boys 2-11 delivery (688,000) grew by 49% and ratings (3.2) by 45%, and boys 9-14 delivery (425,000) grew by 71% and ratings (3.4) by 70%.
Ranking #1 in its time period on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14, ADVENTURE TIME (8 p.m.) continued to anchor the Monday evening comedy line-up, earning double and triple-digit growth vs. 2009—kids 6-11 delivery (875,000) and ratings (3.5) both increased by 52%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,188,000) increased by 30% and ratings (2.9) by 32%, and kids 9-14 delivery (687,000) increased by 102% and ratings (2.8) by 100%. Even more impressively, boys 6-11 delivery (682,000) improved by 52%, boys 2-11 delivery (902,000) improved by42% and boys 9-14 delivery (554,000) jumped by 107%.
Showing double and triple delivery growth across most kids demo, REGULAR SHOW (Monday, 8:15 p.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14, proving its valuable performance on Monday. Compared to last year’s time period, kids 6-11 delivery (945,000) improved by 99%; kids 2-11 delivery (1,244,000) improved by 53%, kids 9-14 delivery (767,000) improved by 150%, boys 6-11 delivery (723,000) improved by 89%, boys 2-11 delivery (925,000) improved by 62% and boys 9-14 delivery (597,000) improved by 134%. Again, #1 in its time period on all TV among boys, MAD (8:30 p.m.) also continued its growth trajectory among targeted kids and boys—kids 6-11 delivery (1,010,000) grew by 135%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,286,000) grew by 83%, kids 9-14 delivery (823,000) grew by 170%, boys 6-11 delivery (736,000) grew by 117%, boys 2-11 delivery (919,000) grew by 90% and boys 9-14 delivery (627,000) grew by 174%.
Edging closer to its highly anticipated season wrap-up in December, TOTAL DRAMA WORLD TOUR (9 p.m.) also charted impressive gains among its targeted kids demos vs. the prior year’s time period: kids 6-11 delivery (681,000) expanded by 83%, kids 2-11 delivery (879,000) expanded by 52%, kids 9-14 delivery (522,000) expanded by 72%, boys 6-11 delivery (527,000) expanded by 109%, boys 2-11 delivery (641,000) expanded by 66% and boys 9-14 delivery (420,000) expanded by 83%.
On Tuesday night, an all-new episode of Cartoon Network’s newest one-hour, live-action adventure-mystery series TOWER PREP (8 p.m.) earned solid gains among kids and boys 9-14—kids 9-14 delivery (385,000) grew by 3% and ratings (1.6) grew by 7%, and boys 9-14 delivery (306,000) grew by 29% and ratings (2.5) by 32%.
A brand new episode of DESTROY BUILD DESTROY (8:30 p.m.) closed the Wednesday night live-action alternative programming block with strong growth across the board compared to 2009’s time period—kids 6-11 delivery (518,000) increased by 20%, kids 2-11 delivery (676,000) increased by 19%, kids 9-14 delivery (417,000) increased by 37%, boys 6-11 delivery (473,000) increased by 26%, boys 2-11 delivery (570,000) increased by 31% and boys 9-14 delivery (356,000) increased by 33%.
Friday night’s line-up of animated action-adventure programming (7-10 p.m.) ranked #1 for the night on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14. It also drew double-digit gainsacross all kids and boys demos compared to the same 2009 time period, with every original series in the line-up—Batman: The Brave and The Bold (7 p.m.), Ben 10: Ultimate Alien(7:30 p.m.), Sym-Bionic Titan (8 p.m.) and Generator Rex (8:30 p.m.)—earning solid gains across kids and boys demos. Average kids 6-11 delivery (592,000) increased by 40%, kids 2-11 delivery (848,000) increased by 34%, kids 9-14 delivery (486,000) increased by 53%, boys 6-11 delivery (498,000) increased by 50%, boys 2-11 delivery (652,000) increased by 39%and boys 9-14 delivery (415,000) increased by 60%.
Capping off the evening, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS (9 p.m.) earned the strongest gains among all kids and boys demos. Versus the previous year’s timeslot, kids 6-11 delivery (597,000) grew by 66%, kids 2-11 delivery (844,000) grew by 71%, kids 9-14 delivery (572,000) grew by 78%, boys 6-11 delivery (520,000) grew by 71%, boys 2-11 delivery (677,000) grew by 71% and boys 9-14 delivery (504,000) grew by 83%.
