The Hub’s New Series “Hubworld” Premieres Friday, November 5

THE HUB ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATE FOR ORIGINAL SERIES ‘HUBWORLD’
Weekly Live-Action Magazine Program Hosted by Justin Willman
LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The Hub, a TV network for kids and their families, announced today the premiere of the original series “Hubworld,” a new weekly, half-hour pop culture series, on Friday, November 5 (6:30 p.m. ET). The series host is Justin Willman star of the cable television show “Cupcake Wars.” The series is produced by Hasbro Studios in association with Natural 9 Entertainment.
The Hub, which rebranded from the former Discovery Kids on 10-10-10, is a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., and is available to 60 million U.S. cable and satellite households.
In its premiere episode, “Hubworld” will feature interviews with tween singing sensation Justin Bieber and the “Ridin’ Solo” singer/songwriter Jason Derulo; and an interview with actor-comedian Will Ferrell on the red carpet premiere of his current movie “Megamind.”
“Hubworld” is a pop culture magazine show that infuses what’s happening in the life of everyday kids with what’s happening on The Hub television network. As the ultimate navigation tool, “Hubworld” enables kids to keep up with what’s going on in the world of entertainment, music and sports, while also having fun watching highlights of their favorite Hub animated and live-action series, In addition, weekly segments will highlight kids’ service and volunteerism in both their local communities and the world beyond. Veteran producer Kathy Samuels, whose credits include “Rachael Ray,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “Access Hollywood,” among other popular television franchises, serves as Executive Producer of “Hubworld.”
The host of “Hubworld” is actor-comedian-magician Justin Willman, who is also known for his appearances on “Rachael Ray,” Disney’s “Armando the Amazing” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” Willman was also recently named “Entertainer of the Year 2010” for his “Justin Kredible Show” by Campus Activities Magazine for the fourth consecutive time.
