NICKELODEON’S HIT COMEDY VICTORIOUS TAKES VIDEO CHATTING TO NEW HEIGHTS IN ALL-NEW EPISODE,
“WI-FI IN THE SKY,” PREMIERING
FRIDAY, AUGUST 27, AT 8 P.M. (ET/PT)

Episode Features Cameo by Celebrity Blogger Perez Hilton

NEW YORK, NY – August 19, 2010 – Tori’s plan for a simple in-flight video chat to complete a school project results in all-out havoc for the Hollywood Arts gang in Nickelodeon’s brand-new episode of Victorious premiering Friday, August 27, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). “Wi-Fi in the Sky” also features a cameo by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who has a first-class fight with Trina on board the plane.

In “Wi-Fi in the Sky,” Tori stresses out when her flight home is delayed and she’s on deadline to finish a school project with André, Beck and Cat. Tori decides to do the project via video chat, since the plane is equipped with Wi-Fi. As Tori gets the gang together on video chat, everyone seems to run into distractions. Meanwhile, Trina sneaks into first-class to use the restroom and happens to see celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. When Trina decides to steal his digital camera so he will blog about her, they get into a fight and it’s all-out chaos in the cabin.

“Wi-Fi in the Sky” will be simulcast on Nick Mobile on Friday, Aug. 27. Additionally, during the broadcast, Victorious’ Daniella Monet (Trina) will be tweeting fun behind-the-scenes facts to appear on the show’s Twitter page at http://twitter.com/victorious. Immediately following the premiere, Victorious star Victoria Justice (Tori) will answer fan questions on Nick.com submitted at the Victorious Club Cinema. The episode will also be made available on Nickelodeon VOD in September.

Earlier this Summer, Victorious “Survival of the Hottest” was basic cable’s top show with total viewers (3.8 million) in its time period and ranked as the number-one telecast on all TV with kids 2-11 (5.7/2.0 million, +111%), kids 6-11 (8.0/1.7 million, +129%) and tweens 9-14 ( 7.3/1.6 million, +161%).

Victorious follows Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) a girl who has grown up in the shadow of her older sister Trina (Daniella Monet, A Fairly Odd Movie, Nancy Drew), a singer/performer who’s always been the “star” of the family. When Trina has a medical mishap on the night of her school’s annual talent showcase, Tori steps in to perform Trina’s song. Accompanied on the piano by her musically gifted friend André (Leon Thomas III, August Rush, Broadway’s The Lion King, iCarly), Tori’s singing and dancing impress the school’s principal so much that she offers her the opportunity of a lifetime – an invitation to become a student at Hollywood Arts High School. From her first day at the school, however, Tori feels out of place among the amazingly talented students, especially mean diva Jade (Elizabeth Gillies, Broadway’s 13). With the help of Trina, André and her new friends – brooding bad boy Beck (Avan Jogia, Spectacular!), eccentric Cat (Ariana Grande, Broadway’s 13) and lovable but psychologically scrambled ventriloquist Robbie (Matthew Bennett) – Tori realizes that she was born to perform and that entertaining people not only makes her happy but may change her life. The series will feature original music performed by Victoria Justice and the ensemble cast.
