DISNEY XD KICKS IT INTO OVERDRIVE ORDERING A SECOND SEASON OF ITS No. 1 SERIES, “KICK BUTTOWSKI – SUBURBAN DAREDEVIL”

A second season has been ordered of Disney XD’s No. 1 series, “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil,” about an extraordinary kid named Kick who is determined to become the world’s greatest daredevil. Produced by Disney Television Animation, the network will begin rolling out new episodes of the hit animated comedy series in spring 2011. For the sophomore season, series creator Sandro Corsaro will serve as executive producer.

“Our viewers are rooting for Kick Buttowski and we are eager to bring them more laughs and adventures as the pint-size daredevil faces bigger challenges, stunts and chases with his unstoppable determination,” said Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.

Following its record setting launch in February 2010, “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil” is Disney XD’s No. 1 series in Total Viewers (679,000) and across all key kid and boy demos, including Kids 6-14 and Boys 6-14, posting triple-digit percent increases year to year in its time period with all key boy demos*.

In Season Two, Kick continues to tackle everyday kid challenges with gusto, expands his repertoire of skills and will try parkour, BMX and go-karting. Storylines will include Kick discovering his mom’s daredevil past, Brad getting a job and a girlfriend, and Wade moving in. New characters entering Kick’s world include a rival daredevil, skate shop managers Hush and Razz, and new police officers Rico and Mack, who establish law and disorder in Mellowbrook.

“Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil” follows Clarence “Kick” Buttowski, an extraordinary kid living in the world’s most ordinary town. Determined to become the world’s greatest daredevil, Kick rebels against the mundane and knows that, when life throws him an obstacle, his only choice is to jump it. Small in stature but big in heart, Kick makes the most out of his suburban surroundings by devising such stunts as riding down Dead Man’s Drop on an ironing board or racing the school bus with a soda-powered jet pack. If one of his stunts goes awry, Kick responds with his customary “I’m good!,” then picks himself up and tries it again. Aided by his loyal sidekick, Gunther, Kick takes on every stunt with unwavering enthusiasm.

The series stars Charlie Schlatter (“Kim Possible,” “Loonatics Unleashed”) as Clarence “Kick” Buttowski; Matt L. Jones (“Breaking Bad”) as Gunther; Danny Cooksey (“Tiny Toon Adventures,” “Dave the Barbarian”) as Brad; John DiMaggio (“Futurama”) as Mr. Vickle and Eric Christian Olsen (“NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Community”) as Wade.

“Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil” was created by Sandro Corsaro who serves as executive-producer, with Chris Savino serving as producer and director. “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil” is produced by Disney Television Animation. It carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
