The Next Star Season 3 premieres Monday, July 19 on YTV

Nick premieres SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clash of Triton on Sunday, July 11

(Toronto, Canada) Corus Entertainment, Canada’s largest kids’ broadcaster, is celebrating summer with Season 3 of YTV’s popular reality series The Next Star as well as 48 hours of SpongeBob programming including the Canadian premiere of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clash of Triton starring Victoria Beckham.

THE NEXT STAR, SEASON 3 – SEASON PREMIERE
Host Adamo Ruggiero (Degrassi: The Next Generation) returns in Season 3 of YTV’s hit talent series The Next Star premiering on Monday, July 19 at 7 p.m. The show will feature a new group of talented kids aged 15 and under who attended auditions across Canada this spring in hopes of being in the top sixteen. From sixteen, six will be chosen and prepped for stardom with the help of musician Suzie McNeil, songwriter Christopher Ward and Executive Director of MusiCounts Steve Cranwell, who return to make up the series’ panel of experts. After going through The Next Star process, the finalist with the highest number of viewer votes will receive the grand prize and title of The Next Star at the series’ live finale in September.

SURVIVE THIS – SEASON FINALE
The time has come to find out who has survived life in the wild as Season 2 of YTV’s Survive This comes to a close in the one-hour finale episode on Monday, July 5 at 7 p.m. Led by Survivorman Les Stroud, eight teens traded in their cell phones and iPods for a chance to participate in rigorous survival-based challenges, which included: building a shelter, finding food and water and treating an injury. Only time will tell who will be the Ultimate Survivor – could it be The Whiz Kid Colin, aspiring biologist Ian, The Athlete Nicole or even 16-year-old Patricia?

Canada Day Celebration ON YTV
YTV flaunts its national pride on Thursday, July 1, airing some of viewers’ favourite Canadian series all day long on Canada Day. Running from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., programming includes back-to-back episodes of Kid vs. Kat, League of Super Evil, That’s So Weird! and How to be Indie starring Melinda Shankar.

iCARLY: iFIND LEWBERT’S LOST LOVE – PREMIERE
The gang sets out to reunite a set of lost lovers when they discover that Lewbert was once engaged. Meanwhile, Spencer tries his hand at detective work in hopes of catching a thief who has been stealing from apartments in Bushwell. iCarly: iFind Lewbert’s Lost Love premieres on YTV Friday, July 16 at 6 p.m.

48 HOURS OF SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS
This July, viewers can get super saturated with SpongeBob SquarePants from Friday, July 9 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, July 11 at 6 p.m. when Nick dedicates 48 hours to everyone’s favourite sea sponge. Viewers won’t want to miss the event’s highlight – the Canadian premiere of the half-hour special SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clash of Triton.

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: THE CLASH OF TRITON – CANADIAN PREMIERE
Sparks fly at King Neptune’s birthday party when SpongeBob invites the King’s son and enemy, Triton, to take part in the celebration. Starring Victoria Beckham as Queen Amphitrite, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clash of Triton premieres on Sunday, July 11 at 6 p.m. (r) on Monday, July 12 at 5:30 p.m. on YTV.

A Nick summer vacation celebration
Celebrate summer vacation with Nick on Saturday, July 24 beginning at 12 p.m. Viewers can catch holiday-themed episodes of popular Nick series including The Fairly OddParents, SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. Topping it all off, kids can be the first to check out the Canadian premiere episode of True Jackson, VP: True Goes to Paris at 8 p.m.

TRUE JACKSON, VP: TRUE GOES TO PARIS – CANADIAN PREMIERE
True (Keke Palmer) and Lulu (Ashley Argota) must pull out all the stops to retrieve Mrs. Madigan’s wedding ring, which they accidently placed in the pocket of her wedding dress before shipping it to Paris. During their travels, they befriend a young girl who is also trying to get to Paris on her own. Catch the 60-minute Canadian premiere of True Jackson, VP: True Goes to Paris on Saturday, July 24 at 8 p.m.
