Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Generator Rex Premiere Tonight on Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network will premiere two new original series tonight starting at 8 p.m. ET, Ben 10: Alien Force and Generator Rex.
Ben 10: Ultimate Alien follows 16-year-old Ben Tennyson as his life changes in major ways. His secret identity has been revealed and he’s now an international mega-star super hero, loved by kids all over the world but distrusted by many adults. Armed with a mysterious new Ultimatrix, Ben is able to transform into ultimate versions of his aliens and will see action in places he’s never been. In tonight’s premiere episode (“Fame”), Ben’s secret identity is revealed to the world, and an alien refugee is about to detonate a nuclear bomb.
Rex is 15, and like most 15-year-old boys, he likes cars, girls, music and sports. But unlike most 15-year-old boys, he can make his fists the size of boulders, sprout a jet pack out of his back and turn his legs into a lightning-fast motorcycle. These talents are extremely useful to Providence, a global organization chartered to fight mutant creatures known as E.V.O.s (Exponentially Variegated Organism). Rex is under their care and is their ultimate weapon. Generator Rex takes place in the aftermath of a global accident, where microscopic machines known as nanites have merged with every living thing. For a select few, the nanites mutate their hosts into monstrous creatures called E.V.O.s. Rex is one such E.V.O., but unlike the monsters he and Providence battle, Rex has control over his nanites. He alone has the ability to not only control these nanites—allowing him to create amazing mechanical limbs and gadgets that aid him in battle—but also heal E.V.O.s of their mutation. In tonight’s premiere episode (“The Day That Everything Changed”), Rex sneaks out for a little downtime and meets Noah, who gives him a chance to feel like a normal kid again until they’re approached by The Pack.
