Doodlebops Rockin’ Road Show Joins Cookie Jar TV on CBS April 3

CBS AND COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCE THE PREMIERE OF THE NEW ANIMATED E/I-COMPLIANT MUSICAL SERIES, “DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW,” ON THE SATURDAY MORNING CHILDREN’S BLOCK, “COOKIE JAR TV,” APRIL 3

“Strawberry Shortcake” Also Rejoins the Line-Up

Get ready to rock with DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW on a magical, musical bus ride when it joins the CBS children’s programming block, Cookie Jar TV, premiering Saturday, April 3 on the CBS Television Network. The E/I-compliant series consists of 26 half-hour episodes for children ages 3-8. Additionally, Strawberry Shortcake, also E/I-compliant, rejoins the line-up.

DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW is a TV-Y rated animated and music-filled comedy that follows Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle on zany adventures through the Doodlenet as they help their young fans solve pre-school-relatable problems. By means of fantasy, fun, music and rhyme, the show assists children in facing situations and solving problems through courage, inventiveness and logical reasoning. Each episode features two original songs and encourages an understanding and appreciation of music, physical activity and health and promotes open-mindedness. Incorporating the series’ multi-faceted educational goal in the context of fun and laughter, DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW also helps to engage kids in new learning, and gives them a chance to hone and develop their burgeoning sense of humor.

The comical group of characters includes:

• Deedee Doodle – she likes to be in charge, play the keytar and loves to sing.
• Rooney Doodle – he is always inventing something new, plays the guitar and loves to dance.
• Moe Doodle – he likes to hide in the clubhouse, play the drums and loves to break dance.
• Bus Driver Bob – he is the best friend and bus driver any band could ask for; he always gets the Doodlebops to their destination on time.
• Mail Snail – a unique postal delivery snail who visits the Doodlebops each day with fan mail.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, also an E/I-compliant series, rejoins the line-up, having previously aired on the CBS Saturday morning children’s block. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE follows the good-hearted and lovable adventures of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends who live together in the “berry sweet” world of Strawberryland. With darling and mischievous characters like her sister Apple Dumplin’, her friends, Huckleberry Pie, Ginger Snap, Orange Blossom and Angel Cake, and her pets, Custard and Pupcake, Strawberry Shortcake and her friends grow better all the time exploring whimsical new lands while learning valuable lessons. The show is rated TV-Y for kids 3-6 years old.

DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW and STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE join a lineup of E/I-compliant children’s programming on CBS’ Cookie Jar TV that include: “Noonbory & The Super 7”, “Busytown Mysteries” and “Sabrina, The Animated Series.”
