December 31, 2010 | Comparing 4th Quarter 2010 to its 4th Quarter 2009 performance, Cartoon Network’s prime time delivery and ratings increased across all kid demos—average kids 6-11 delivery (530,000) grew by 6% and ratings (2.1) by 5%, kids 2-11 delivery (770,000) grew by 4% and ratings (1.9) by 6%, and kids 9-14 delivery (403,000) grew by 4% and ratings (1.7) by 6%. The network’s quarterly performance with boys also charted gains vs. last year: boys 6-11 delivery (404,000) grew by 13% and ratings (3.2) by 14%, boys 2-11 delivery (547,000) grew by 9% and ratings (2.6) by 8%, and boys 9-14 delivery (304,000) grew by 8% and ratings (2.4) by 4%.

Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series,” a half-hour, live-action children’s anthological storytelling series, featuring the best-selling author of kids horror and the master of scary takes, R.L. Stine (Goosebumps, Fear Street, Mostly Ghostly). The series will debut with two new episodes back-to-back, “A Creature Was Stirring” (8 p.m. ET) and “The Dead Body” (8:30 p.m. ET).

- Nickelodeon Names Participants of 11th Annual Fellowship for Diverse Writers
December 20, 2010 | Nickelodeon has named three new participants for its 11th annual Fellowship for Diverse Writers, it was announced today by Karen Kirkland, Executive Director, Nickelodeon Fellowship for Diverse Writers. Kevin Arietta, a New York University graduate and former NYPD cadet, Kiyong Kim, an award-winning writer, director and illustrator graduate of Massachusetts School of Art, and Brian Stampnitsky, a sketch comedian and film school graduate of Vassar, will join the 2010-2011 Nickelodeon fellowship program that offers hands-on writing experience on current live-action and animated series. Additionally, two of last years fellows were recently placed on staff of Nickelodeon's animated hit series Fanboy & Chum Chum and The Penguins of Madagascar.
