The following is a rundown of the “Just Jennette” weekend on Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite (all times ET/PT):
iCarly – “iWas A Pageant Girl” / Saturday, Jan. 9 at 8:00 p.m. on Nickelodeon
Sam reveals her dark, dirty secret to Carly and Freddie – she competed in beauty pageants as a young girl. Now that Sam’s long-time rival is coming to Seattle to compete for her 100th win, Sam decides to train Carly in the ways of pageantry, counting on her to beat the reigning beauty queen. Sam would see to it herself but she was barred from competition years ago; however, while coaching Carly at the show, Sam learns that the ban has been lifted. Dusting off her tap shoes, Sam dazzles the judges with an awe-inspiring routine which is a throwback to classic dance numbers seen in movies years ago. Meanwhile, Spencer convinces Freddie to go on a double date but things get a little too competitive.
True Jackson, VP – “True Drama” / Saturday, Jan. 9 at 8:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon
Ryan joins the Drama Club in order to win Kelsey’s heart and winds up becoming the director of the school play. True and Lulu are excited to have Ryan direct since he’s casting Lulu as the lead and True as the costume designer; however, things quickly go awry when Kelsey begins to act like a diva. In the name of love, Ryan gives Kelsey the lead and fires True so True makes a deal with the devil – or rather, the incorrigible Pinky Turzo (Jennette McCurdy, iCarly), to plot revenge.
Malcolm in the Middle – “If Boys Were Girls” / Sunday, Jan. 10 at 8:00 p.m. on Nick at Nite
Exhausted by her troublesome boys, a very pregnant Lois imagines how different her life would be if she had given birth to all girls. However, her dream of daughters Mallory, Renee and Daisy (Jennette McCurdy) quickly turns into a nightmare as she discovers how difficult raising girls can be.
Malcolm in the Middle – “Buseys Take a Hostage” / Sunday, Jan. 10 at 8:00 p.m. on Nick at Nite
When Francis becomes camp activities coordinator, he turns to Dewey for help creating some new games. Without Dewey’s leadership, his classmates, including a girl named Penelope (Jennette McCurdy), take their teacher hostage when he threatens severe punishment for a minor infraction. Unfortunately, one hostage turns into three when the students also take the principal and janitor. Meanwhile, Malcolm encourages his dad to be the Neighborhood Association President but Malcolm quickly realizes his dreams of a cool community are not what his dad envisions.
