“Cory in the House” Returns for a Second Season

DISNEY CHANNEL’S HIT SERIES “CORY IN THE HOUSE” RETURNS FOR A SECOND SEASON

BURBANK, June 11, 2007 . . . Production has started on a second season of Disney Channel’s hit comedy series “Cory in the House,” starring Kyle Massey, Rondell Sheridan, Jason Dolley, Madison Pettis, Maiara Walsh and John D’Aquino.  The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide.

The series, which tapes before a studio audience in Hollywood, resumes production in June.

“Cory in the House,” an off-shoot of the hit sitcom “That’s So Raven,” premiered January 12, 2007 (9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and was the highest-rated series premiere on any kid-targeted cable network since 1999 with kids 6-11 (17.3), tweens 9-14 (16.8) and households (5.4).  For the first quarter of 2007, “Cory in the House” finished as the most-watched basic cable series in total viewers (3.8 million) kids 6-11 (1.8 million/7.2 rating) and tweens 9-14 (1.6 million/6.6 rating).

“It’s a testament to the comic ingenuity of Kyle Massey  and series  creators Marc Warren and Dennis Rinsler that  CORY IN THE HOUSE has been a huge success from the moment it premiered — not just  in the US, but around the world,” Marsh said.

“Cory in the House” airs Fridays (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel also airs on 11 Disney Channels around the world.  It is available via streaming broadband video on DisneyChannel.com.
