NEW YORK, Aug. 21 – From the never-ending drama of Degrassi: The Next Generation to the sizzling new summer hit Beyond the Break, music from the hottest shows on The N, the nighttime network for teens, comes together for the first time on The N Soundtrack. This special compilation of songs is available Tuesday, August 29 in stores nationwide.

The N Soundtrack, released by The N Records (a division of Nick Records) and the Sony BMG Strategic Marketing Group, includes a unique collection of popular artists such as The Donnas and Natasha Bedingfield, as well as some of the network’s hottest stars. The CD features an exclusive live acoustic performance of Bedingfield’s smash hit “Unwritten,” tracks by Degrassi’s Aubrey Graham (a.k.a. Drake), Instant Star’s Alexz Johnson and South of Nowhere’s Mandy Musgrave, as well as a bonus CD extra containing a sneak peek at scenes from the upcoming second season of the surf drama Beyond the Break. Fans can sample The N Soundtrack a week prior to its release on www.the-n.com beginning Tuesday, August 22.

On Friday, September 29, The N will premiere the hour-long season openers of both Degrassi: The Next Generation and South of Nowhere at 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. (ET), respectively. Degrassi returns with the most provocative and intense school year ever, as last year’s graduates take the plunge into college, while former classmates Sean and Ashley re-enroll. In the season two premiere of South of Nowhere, life takes an unexpected detour for the Carlin family as the Ohio-bred transplants continue on their journey of identity and self-discovery.
