New York, NY, July 12, 2005 – The N, the nighttime network for teens, heats up the summer with the fourth season of its battle-of-the-sexes reality series, Girls V. Boys. Girls V. Boys: Puerto Rico, shot on location on the Caribbean island of Vieques, will premiere with an hour-long special on Friday, August 5 from 9pm – 10pm (ET).
Girls V. Boys: Puerto Rico, produced for The N by Dancing Toad Productions, Inc., is an original, half-hour battle-of-the-sexes reality series full of teen drama and gender conflict. The new 10-episode series airs regularly on Fridays at 9:00pm (ET) and 11pm (ET) and pits a team of four girls and four guys against each other in 18 intense physical and mental competitions for the chance to score points, win prizes and vie for the grand prize of $50,000. Girls V. Boys: Puerto Rico, features direct-to-camera commentary and behind-the-scenes banter between the eight teens as they travel to scenic locations, around their new ‘home base’ — a beautiful Caribbean villa with views set in the hills of Vieques. Each team also has their own ‘coach’ who serves as friend, mento and counsselor throughout their Caribbean adventures. The boys’ team coach is Pooch Hall, star of The N’s first dramatic mini-series Miracle’s Boys.

Challenges in Boys V. Girls: Puerto Rico will include:
“Nice to Beat You” – The first challenge of the series begins as each team lands at Vieques airport and must find their way to homebase by racing to locations around the island, swimming for clues and counting thousands of beans.
“Eat Em and Weep” – It’s a relay race eating competition as each teammate must polish off a plate of hot peppers, spoiled mayo, and two undisclosed delicacies.
“Balls Out” – A speedboat drags along the teammates in inner tubes at top speed as they try to throw balls into floating targets in the water.
“Swimsuit Comp” – Each team is given one hour and an assortment of materials to make their own home-made bathing suits. The suits are then modeled by each teammate and judged by a critical audience of teens.
“Atop A Top” – One at a time, each team member stands on an elevated fast-spinning platform while trying to catch rubber balls that their teammates throw at them.
“Pole Soccer” – Each four-member team is connected to a long metal pole while competing in a game of soccer – foosball-style. The team that scores the most goals wins.
“Sea Joust” – One at a time, opposing teammates row towards each other in fast-moving motorboats. While standing, each competitor tries to joust their opponent off of the boat.
