New York, NY, May 17, 2005 – Don’t have a date on Saturday night? Then why not hang out with Keanu or Uma as The N, the nighttime network for teens, will premiere Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, The Truth About Cats & Dogs and Bang, Bang, You’re Dead. The three movies will premiere on Saturday nights in June at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (ET), beginning Saturday, June 4.

“June is the start of summer vacation and a shift in lifestyle for most of our teen viewers,” said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Vice President, Production and Programming, The N. “We are excited to be featuring these hit films and feeding our audience’s appetite for summer movies.”

The following is the premiere schedule for movies on The N in June:

* Saturday, June 4, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure – In this quirky action comedy about a pair of ditsy, teenaged, wannabe rock stars, Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves) and Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) are at risk of failing History class if they don’t ace a final oral exam. If they fail, Ted’s dad will send his son to military school, causing the break-up of the boys’ garage band, Wyld Stalyns. With the help of Rufus (George Carlin), a time traveler from the future, Bill and Ted use a telephone booth to go on an adventure back in time to collect historical figures such as Napoleon, Socrates, Joan of Arc and Genghis Khan and bring them to modern times. The movie inspired a sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and an animated television series.

* Saturday, June 11, Bang, Bang, You’re Dead – In this cable film inspired by the Columbine High shooting, Trevor Adams (Ben Foster) is a high school student who is constantly bullied after an alleged attempt to bomb the school a year prior. Trevor’s only saving grace is Val Duncan (Tom Cavanaugh), his drama class teacher who casts him in a controversial school play about school violence called Bang, Bang, You’re Dead. The production itself consists of the main character brought face-to-face with the victims
of a violent school attack which he administered. As the play progresses, Trevor finds himself becoming attached to a group of outsiders who take a liking to the “alleged bomb threat king.” Trevor fears the worst when he sees right before him that an even bigger threat may find its way to the school in the form of this new group.

* Saturday, June 18, The Truth about Cats & Dogs – In this romantic, Cyrano de Bergerac-inspired comedy about love and mistaken identity, Dr. Abby Barnes (Janeane Garofalo), a veterinarian and radio call-in host, unwittingly entices a listener over the radio with her personality. The listener, Brian (Ben Chaplin), tries to meet the ‘on-air’ Abby, but Abby’s best friend Noelle (Uma Thurman) is mistaken for the real thing when Brian comes to the studio. Instead of clearing things up right away, the self-conscious Abby, who thinks her short stature and brunette hair would never impress Brian, allows Noelle, a tall, stunning blonde, to take her place for awhile. As Abby woos Brian over the phone with her wit and humor, Noelle takes her place in the flesh. Abby and Noelle must find a way to fix the mess before somebody’s heart gets broken.
