Kids’ WB! Celebrates Thanksgiving With First Annual “Turkey Day Food Fling”
(November 13, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — The table is set…the food is cooked…and Kids’ WB!’s characters are ready for turkey, potatoes, mayhem and chaos… Kids’ WB! celebrates the Thanksgiving holiday – in a non-traditional manner – with a cast of characters being thankful for the abundance of food they will have for the network’s first annual “Turkey Day Food Fling” on Saturday, November 23 (8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET).
From now until November 20, kids may go to www.KidsWB.com and submit their gooiest, stickiest, messiest Thanksgiving food suggestions to be flung on-air. On Saturday, November 23, the Kids’ WB! characters will gather on the Kids’ WB! backlot in two teams. Using the food recommended by viewers, the characters will concoct contraptions such as the Food-a-Pult, Super-Gooper and Fling-Shot to compete in several chow-chucking events.
The Saturday morning line-up will feature the beginning of an intense three-part story arc of “Pokémon: Master Quest” (10:00 a.m. ET) as Ash and the gang try to rescue the rare Pokémon Lugia from the nefarious Team Rocket. In addition, the schedule will include all-new episodes of “Yu-Gi-Oh!” (8:00 a.m. ET and 11:00 a.m. ET), “What’s New Scooby-Doo? “(8:30 a.m. ET) and “¡Mucha Lucha!” (10:30 a.m. ET).
Grab an apron and check out the goopy games during the first annual Kids’ WB! “Turkey Day Food Fling.”
