Nickelodeon Celebrates Summer Solstice With First-Ever Nicktoon All-Nighter, June 21

SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and More Will Nab Animation Fans from Sunset to Sunrise

Santa Monica, CA — June 10, 2002 — Summer Solstice won’t get short shrift this year, thanks to Nickelodeon. When the sun finally sets, in celebration of this longest day of the year — Friday, June 21 — the network will pre-empt regularly scheduled Nick at Nite programming to offer a Nicktoon All-Nighter (8 p.m.-6 a.m. ET/PT) for animation fans of all ages. The fun stretches through the power hours, sunset to sunrise, with favorite series including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told by Ginger, Invader Zim and CatDog.

Following is a rundown of the shows that start at sundown. All times are ET/PT:

8-9 p.m. – SpongeBob SquarePants
9-10 p.m. – The Fairly OddParents
10-11 p.m. – Rugrats
11-midnight – SpongeBob SquarePants
12-1 a.m. – Hey Arnold!
1-2 a.m. – The Wild Thornberrys
2-3 a.m. – Rocket Power
3-4 a.m. – As Told by Ginger
4-5 a.m. – Invader Zim
5-6 a.m. – CatDog
