Kids’ WB February Includes Shaq on “Static Shock”

It’s A Slam-Dunk On Kids’ WB! During The Month Of February
(February 4, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — A basketball All-Star, an undead mummy and a new Jackie — Kids’ WB! sweeps into February with a slam-dunk! Kids’ WB! and “Static Shock” take to the court with NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal in his first animated guest appearance in the episode entitled “Static Shaq,” airing Saturday, February 16 (8:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT). In this high-flying episode, Virgil’s dad reaches ultra-cool status when his basketball legend friend, Shaquille, pays a visit to Dakota. Unfortunately, Shaq’s overbooked schedule leaves him and Virgil no time to play some one-on-one. Complicating matters further, a ruthless meta-human gang is making it difficult for Virgil to keep his Static status a secret from his new friend…and the rest of the world.
In a special two-parter, beginning Saturday, February 9 (9:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT), “The Mummy” and the O’Connell family are one step closer to finding the sacred Scrolls of Thebes…and stopping Imhotep from gaining world domination. From the deserts of Egypt to the Catacombs under Paris, Alex — with help from his parents and the Medji warrior, Ardeth Bay — must stop Imhotep from possessing the powerful Scrolls. Unfortunately, the plan goes awry and Alex must use his own resources to outwit and defeat the dastardly Mummy. The adventure concludes with a spectacular showdown on Saturday, February 16.
Also this February, it’s a Chan-tastic Chinese New Year on Kids’ WB! when “Jackie Chan Adventures” rings in “The Year of the Horse” with a nail-biting two-part episode airing on Saturday, February 16 and 23 (9:00 a.m. ET/8:00 a.m. PT). In “Demon World – Part 1 & 2,” the villainous Shendu gets hold of the mighty “Book of Ages” – giving him the ability to rewrite history, thereby, creating an alternate world. When given this control, Shendu makes his nemesis, Jackie, the faithful food servant…erasing Jackie’s memory of all his incredible physical prowess and amazing acrobatic moves. Discovering the truth, feisty Jade becomes the expert and must re-train her Uncle Jackie in the ways of martial arts and chi spells before Shendu unlocks his demonic siblings from the magically sealed portals.
