July 31, 2001 | Powered by the record-shattering Rugrats' "All Growed Up" 10th anniversary special, Nickelodeon in July 2001 drew its largest audience of kids 2-11 ever and continued its longstanding dominance as the number-one basic-cable network on a 24-hour basis. According to Nielsen Media Research for July '01 (7/2-29/01), Nickelodeon delivered a record-breaking average of 992,000 kids 2-11 in total day, marking a 4% increase over last year's record-setting kid delivery levels (957,000). Among households in total day, Nickelodeon averaged a 1.5/1.2 million HH, delivering audience levels comparable to last year's record-setting July '00, when the network garnered its largest household delivery numbers ever.

July 25, 2001 | Affirming its ongoing commitment to original programming, Nickelodeon has picked up 13 episodes each of the brand-new comedy series The Nick Cannon Show and the newly cast All That, both set to launch Saturday, Sept. 29, in prime time in SNICK (Saturday Night Nickelodeon). The network also has renewed five hit freshmen shows for their second seasons beginning in fall 2001, including As Told By Ginger (20 episodes), The Fairly OddParents (14), Invader ZIM (20), Pelswick (13) and Taina (13). The Nick Jr. preschool favorite Maggie and the Ferocious Beast also has been renewed for 13 episodes.
