Kids’ WB! “Turns Up The Heat” With New Summer Schedule Highlighted By Second Season Launch Of Animé-Adventure “Cardcaptors”

(June 13, 2001 – Burbank, CA) — Kids’ WB!, the #1 kids’ broadcast network for the past two seasons, gears up for the summer with cool all-original programming and its new Saturday morning line-up, including the hit animé-adventure series “Cardcaptors” which returns for an exciting second season, beginning Saturday, June 23 (8:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT).

In addition, the comedy-adventure team of Agents Jay and Kay come face-to-face with their most challenging assignment in a stunning two-part series finale of “Men in Black: The Series,” airing Saturday, June 23 and June 30 (11:00 a.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT). Don’t miss the great alien-hunting mission as these secret agents protect Earth from those wacky tourist aliens.

The “Cardcaptors” adventures continue in season two as 10-year-old Sakura and her mystical classmate Li now must learn to manage the magical Clow cards. As “Master of the Clow cards,” Sakura must face her destiny by making each card her own “Star Card” in order to continue the centuries-old line of magic…and to keep the legacy of the Clow cards alive! With the help of Kero, who has returned to his true form — a lion with wings, Sakura and Li race against time as they assign each card a specific purpose before hundreds of years of magic are destroyed. In the meantime, strange disturbances are creating havoc in town and a new transfer student, Eli Moon, has a hidden agenda which will drastically affect the “Cardcaptors’” fate.
