Kids’ WB! Announces The New Season Premiere Of “Pokémon,” The #1 Series On Television For Kids Season-To-Date
(August 9, 2000 – Burbank, CA) — As Kids’ WB! gears up for the 2000-2001 season, the network announces the official premiere of the third season of “Pokémon,” the #1 series on television for kids season-to-date, on Saturday, August 19 (9:00 a.m. ET) with all-original episodes.
The third season of “Pokémon” will follow the adventures of Ash, Pikachu, Misty and Tracey as they travel through the Orange Islands in their continued search for the final badges of the Orange League. The “Pokémon” challenge begins on Saturday, August 19 when the hit series airs at 9:00 a.m. ET and 10:00 a.m. ET. The excitement continues on Saturday morning as “Men in Black: The Series” finds more aliens at 10:30 a.m. ET; the new millennium’s “Batman Beyond” does double crime-fighting duty at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. ET; and “Max Steel” goes into stealth-mode at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Beginning Friday, August 18, Kids’ WB!’s summer Friday afternoon block gives way to the mischievous gang of “Detention” when they move to their new 3:00 p.m. time slot.
