TeenNick adds series from MTV and AwesomenessTV

Starting July 15, TeenNick is making some big changes to their line-up and adding more teen-centric programming from MTV and AwesomenessTV. In addition, the NickRewind block of older Nickelodeon programming is getting severely reduced.

Shows from MTV include: the teen reality series Made (weekdays at 12pm, 3pm and 8pm), the 2011 live-action supernatural drama Teen Wolf (starting with season 4; weeknights at 9pm), and reality series My Super Sweet 16 (weeknights from 12-1am) and Parental Control (weeknights from 1-2am).

Programs from AwesomenessTV, which have mostly run on streaming services in America up to this point, include: Betch, Zac & Mia, Love Daily, and Guidance. All four series run weeknights from 10pm-midnight and encore from 2-4am.

With these additions, which include weekend encores, the NickRewind block is getting reduced. The block has currently run from 11pm-6am each night, but will be cut to just two hours a night from 4-6am. An episode each of Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Doug will run nightly.

This isn’t the first time the TeenNick channel (formerly known as The N before 2009) has aired programming from MTV. The Hills and Laguna Beach both ran on the block/network before. Even Teen Wolf has made an appearance after its 2011 premiere on MTV.

This is the first time the network is diving back into non-Nickelodeon, teen-focused programming since Degrassi left the network in 2015.
